  1. Why are some of my menu options greyed out/unavailable or showing as "#"?
  2. If menus are showing but disabled, then you are logged in and everything is OK. It's just that the server is empty. You can't slap yourself. If menus are not showing, then you have not been given the correct flags to use those options or you are not logged in properly.

  1. How do I install clanmod?
  2. Please see the ClanMod Installation Guide (install.txt) that is included in the ClanMod zip file for detailed installation instructions.

  1. I have installed clanmod correctly, but it still says "** This name or tag is reserved." Why is this?
  2. Re-read the section of the ClanMod Manual (manual.txt) called "Logging In"

  1. Another admin I know can play sounds like a dog or a chicken, I cant do this, why?
  2. Check your access flags in cm_admin.cfg. You may not have the flags which allow you to play the sounds.

  1. I have all sorts of errors following a VAC update and now clanmod is screwed up. What can I do?
  2. Most problems related to VAC updates are solved by restarting the server.

  1. How do I change the colour of the messages that display in the centre of the screen?
  2. See the details on the cm_motd and cm_say commands in the Server Command Reference section of the ClanMod Manual.

  1. How do I turn off or change the anti-flooding facility?
  2. Change the value of cm_chatspeed in your clanmod.cfg file. Set it to 0 to disable flood protection. Otherwise, it represents the minimum number of seconds between say commands.

  1. I get this error msg in my server console/logs: "SZ_GetSpace: overflow on netchan->message"
  2. Shorten your motd. If you are running several motd (adminmod, clanmod, statsme) try turning them off and use only one!

  1. How do I change which maps are in the mapcycle?
  2. Change mapcycle.txt

  1. I extracted the .dll file, i can't find it? Where did it go?
  2. Turn on "Show hidden files and folders"

  1. I am getting kicked from my server. My console says "Nick is offensive"
  2. Some part of your name is listed in cm_badwords.cfg and cm_chatfilter is set to kick for names that contain words deemed inapropriate by the server owner. Set cm_chatfilter to 0 to disable this feature, remove the word from cm_badwords.cfg, or select a different name.

  1. Where can i find the ClanMod config paks?

  1. I`m missing options in "client cmd" and the "Settings" menu.
  2. Download the ClanMod Config Pak for your mod (e.g. cstrike, tfc, etc.)

  1. I cant open the "Changelevel" menu
  2. Download the ClanMod Config Pak for your mod.

  1. How can I force someone to change team in CS/TFC/Dod2
  2. If you are missing these options you should download the correct ClanMod Config Pak.

  1. How does taking snapshots or recording demos with Clanmod work?
  2. They will be stored on the client computer. Not on the server. And there is no way to access these files without the client's assistance. Also, recording a demo will not show if the client is using cheats.

  1. After i installed Clanmod the map change is slow..
  2. Try to set cm_loadconfig to 0

  1. How can i turn on low gravity and matrix mode?
  2. Install the "funmode" addon

  1. Can i remove a Clanmod addon?
  2. Yes, Just remove the lines from clanmod.cfg where the addon is called (see intructions in the file). Removing a addon will not break any other aspect of ClanMod. Check the addon readme to see what features will be removed if you uninstall the addon.

  1. How can I login as an admin?
  2. Refer to the section in the manual titled "Logging In". In short, first edit your cm_admins.cfg on the server. Follow the instuctions in the file. Then add this too your config.cfg (client):

  1. How do i open the clanmodmenu?
  2. To open the menu type "clanmodmenu" in the client console. You can also bind this to any key you like. For example, bind "o" "clanmodmenu" will bind your "o" key to the menu.

  1. When i type clanmodmenu in the console only the "information menu" opens up.
  2. You are not logged in as an admin. (See "How can i login as an admin?")

  1. How do I send coloured messages?
  2. Look up "cm_say" in the "Server Command Reference"

  1. Why did you move all the files too the "addons" folder ?
  2. Clanmod now follow the new addon standard

  1. Why can`t i slap/kick bots ?
  2. That was removed becuse it might make the server unstable, you can reactivate it with this cvar "cm_botscmds"

  1. Where did all the sounds go ?
  2. They are no included in a Clanmod addon, you can download it at: ClanMod
